भूमंडलीकरण के दौर ने एक नए मौसम को चुपके से हमारे जीवन – जगत में प्रवेश करा दिया है जिसे हम पहचानने से इंकार भले करें – स्वीकार जरूर कर रहे है। पहचान से इंकार और स्वीकार को अंगीकार का यह अद्भूत संयोग है। हमारा मानना है की भूमंडलीकरण ने कैरियर के लिए जिस तरह के मायाजाल का सृजन किया है उसे सही तरीके से पहचानने की जरूरत है। भ्रम और भ्रांति के कारण इस नए अजस्त्र संभावनाओं वाले अवसर को हम समझ ही नहीं पाते। पारंपरिक तौर तरीके के कैरियर लगातार छीनते और सिकुड़ते जा रहे हैं तो कैरियर के नए अकल्पनीय क्षेत्र अस्तित्व में भी आए है। इन नए क्षेत्रों में ग्लैमर है, काम का सुकून है, निरंतर आगे बढ़ने के असंख्य अवसर हैं और है असीमित आय। बदलता युग एक जगह बैठकर स्थायी नौकरी करने का नहीं – नित्य नयी संभावनाओं को टटोलने और आय के स्त्रोत ढूंढने का है। इसकी सही नब्ज पहचान जाने वाले ऐसा कर भी रहे है। इसके उदाहरण मात्रात्मक रूप से कम भले दिख रहे हों पर आने वाला समय इन्हीं का है।

दुनिया में हर व्यक्ति अच्छा कमाने और खाने की चाह रखता है। अक्सर माता – पिता या विद्यार्थी सवाल करते हैं और जानना चाहते हैं कि किस कैरियर या नौकरी में मोटी तनख्वाह पा सकते है। इसका जवाब यही होना चाहिए कि कैरियर में अच्छी तरक्की पाने या ज्यादा कमाने के लिए यह कतई जरूरी नहीं कि कोई खास जॉब या इंडस्ट्री ही जॉइन की जाए। सच तो यह है कि किसी भी काम में यदि पूरी दिलचस्पी ली जाए और खूद को उसके लिए समर्पित कर दिया जाए तो अच्छी आय सुनिश्चित की जा सकती है। कुछ लोग सोच सकते है कि मनपसंद जॉब मिलने पर ही दिल लगाकर काम किया जा सकता है और अच्छा पैसा कमाया जा सकता है लेकिन एक सच यह भी है कि जो भी काम आपके हाथ में आए, यदि उसे दिल लगाकर किया जाये तो निश्चित रूप से वह मजबूत आर्थिक स्थिति का आधार बनता है।

यदि आपको ऐसा कोई काम मिला हो जिसमें आपकी दिलचस्पी न हो, तो यह सोचकर उसमें मन लगाइए कि कम से कम आपके पास काम तो है। काम कोई भी हो, उसे अपनी पूरी क्षमता और योग्यता से करिए। अपनी तरफ से अच्छे से अच्छा काम करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। जो चीज़ नहीं आती है, उसे सीखिए । उत्साह दिखाइए और उसे पहल कीजिए। ऐसा करने से संतुष्टि मिलती है और संभव है कि आपकी रूचि का काम आपको मिल जाए। जॉब (काम) को बोझ समझने से बेहतर है कि उसे खेल समझकर पूरा करें। यदि आप काम को शौक से न कर पाएं, तो अपने शौक को ही काम बना लीजिए । सफलता या असफलता की चिंता न करते हुए अपनी तरफ से पूरा प्रयास करते रहना चाहिए । सच्चे मन से की गई कोशिश का अपना महत्व होता है। लगन, विश्वास और परिश्रम से जो हासिल होगा, वह बैंक बैलेन्स से कही बढ़कर साबित होगा।
